The Backstory behind Writing FAST

After four years teaching screenwriting throughout Australia and New Zealand, Writing FAST author Jeff Bollow discovered a flaw in his workshops.

Despite being jam-packed with practical, powerful, real-world information, participants didn't apply what they learned. Why? They were overwhelmed by the writing process.

Scouring available materials, Jeff couldn't find any simple step-by-step process that didn't involve creating a formulaic screenplay.

So he developed one -- the FAST System -- to ensure that his students completed the projects they started, and that their work was always original and compelling.

When he discovered that the FAST System could be applied to any form of writing, he decided to write a book to help everyone who struggled with writing as much as he did.
